We woke up in Las Cruces

Raimy fighting crime at Walmart

Saylor in her Hannah Montana wig!

Hello again...well, today has been such an exciting day...NOT! LOL Las Cruces isn't really a place I would like to live. Our driver checked himself into a hotel and left us in a parking lot near an Applebee's. For some reason when Haylie said, "We're going to Applebee's", it was like hearing, "We are going to DISNEYLAND!!!! We got dressed unloaded the double-wide ( stroller that is), and headed across the highway.
I have never eaten at an Applebee's and I am quite certain after today, I won't care if I ever see one much less eat there again! All I can say is, stay away from something called "riblets". I guess if they can't write the word "rib" on the menu, then it's some sort of mystery cut. I thought I had seen just about every cut of meat out there, but this was like a serial killer got a hold of the cow and made his own cuts.
We asked the waitress for directions to a mall or anyplace for that matter that would be fun and to help us pass some time, She said there was a Walmart 2/8ths of a mile down the road. It was a very nice Walmart and we were there for at least 2-3 hours.
On the way back we found a Cracker Barrel restaurant right in back of our hotel!!! It's one of Haylie and Ashley's favorites and so we decided it would be a great place to get food to-go, before taking off. I went to order my meal and ended up with quarts of beautiful cherries in glass jars, a hunk of fudge and an order of cat fish.
We are back on the road and I'll find out tomorrow morning how far we were able to go during the long night.
